Clayhawk Assembly Instructions
What’s Included
- M12x25 Bolt
- 1 M12 Nut
- 3 Ground Spikes
- 1 Hex Wrench
- 1 Allen Wrench
- M8x16 Bolts
- 12 M8 Nuts
Step One
- Lay the Base frame on the ground in a triangular shape
- Have one Side/Corner Upright Frames and overlap the one corner of the Ground/Base triangle
- Insert the hex bolts through the ground base plus into the side corner upright from the inside out and the have the hex nut to secure it
Step Two
With th top in place after step one. Secure it with hex bolts and hex nuts from the inside out. After securing make sure all the hex nuts on the frame assembly are tightened
Step Three
- Push the 1 3/4″ hex bolt up through the center hole of the triangular/Top Pivot casting and secure it with a 1/2″ hex nut
- Attach the 3 Pivot Mount and the Trap Head
How to use the Adjustable Ground Spikes
- Take the top nut off the spike and insert the spike through one of the holes on the base
- Push into the ground and then replace the top nut
- Repeat for all corners
- Use the wrenches to tighten and lock the nut down
If the ground is soft can mount directly to a sheet of plywood
How to assemble the trap
- Insert one M12x40 bolt into the opening in the trap head carriage( hexagon shaped) and secure with the M12 nut using the wrench
- Put the universal clip into the throwing arm’s extruded channel
- The open end of the clip should point to the pointed end of the arm
- Connect the black mainspring to the silver swiveling spring hook
- Attach the M10 spade bolt on the opposite end of the mainspring
- Pull the threaded end of the spade bolt through the hole at the back of the trap head carriage
- Us the M10 washer and M10 nylock nut to Secure the mainspring and spade bolt
- Tighten the black mainspring to the level that 8 threads of the spade show using the wrench
- Insert rubber handle into the end of the trap head carriage
- Use the ring brace arms using small Allen screws for the safety ring guard attachment
